Jumper Carter Sease Architects is the oldest ongoing architectural firm in South Carolina. For over 80 years, we have served our clients with our design expertise in corporate, academic, government, health care, and religious architecture.
Our firm has been in business since 1929 when Jesse W. Wessinger established the first architectural firm in Lexington County. He was joined in 1959 by John Drafts (Wessinger & Drafts) and in 1970 by Craig Jumper (Drafts & Jumper Architects). In 1991, Joel M. Carter and L. Todd Sease became principals and began to work towards strengthening our historic foundation through a continued focus on client relations and collaborative design practices. In the last ten years, Jumper Carter Sease Architects has tripled in size through a steady workload increase and through the addition of young talented professionals who are enthusiastically committed to furthering our firm’s mission and growth. We attribute our success to our commitment to providing a quality product with unparalleled service to our clients, many of whom have been repeat clients for years.
